The CNT, CGT and Solidaridad Obrera unions have launched a call in Madrid to build a strong process of mobilization and unity of action, leading to a general strike.

Calendar of mobilizations in Madrid

Monday 14 November

Presentation of the week of protest, live on internet in streaming, presentation of the magazine, the general communiqué for the week and information on public meetings.

At 11.00 am, press conference by the Confederal Committees of the CNT, CGT and Solidaridad Obrera to present the week of struggle.

Social Services: In the morning there will be distribution of a specific statement in the social action centres of Vallecas, Carabanchel, Villaverde and towns to the south of Madrid.

Roundtable from 8.00 to 9.45 pm at the Hotel okupado 15-M (C/Carretas, 11. Metro Sol), with a debate on cuts to social services. Participants will include members of CNT, Solidaridad Obrera, CGT and 15-M involved in social work.

Tuesday 15 November

4.00 - 6.00 pm: Public meeting at the "Marca" newspaper in C/Avenida San Luis, 25-27 (Metro Hortaleza) against precarity and the exploitation of interns.

Roundtable from 8.00 to 9.45 pm at the Hotel okupado 15-M (C/Carretas, 11. Metro Sol) on the current labour situation: precarity, unemployment and cuts. Participants: members of CGT, CNT, Solidaridad Obrera, Grupo de Trabajo Huelga General Sol and the Asamblea de Parados de Sol.

Wednesday 16 November

Early-morning leafleting (7.45 am) of workers at the larger hospitals (La Paz, Clínico, Gregorio Marañón and 12 de Octubre) followed at 10.00 am by distribution of a specific communiqué to outpatients at surgeries in the same hospitals.

Roundtable from 8.00 to 9.45 pm at the Hotel okupado 15-M (C/Carretas, 11. Metro Sol) on the "Privatization of healthcare and education". Speakers from CAS Madrid, Soy Pública, CGT Enseñanza, Soli Enseñanza, CNT Villaverde.

Thursday 17 November

Throughout the morning, distribution of the general communiqué at Schools, Institutes and Universities.

6.00 pm: Demonstration of education workers and students (Neptuno-Sol) with distribution of a communique on education.

Friday 18 November

12.00 - 1.30 pm: Public rally at the headquarters of the CEOE (Spanish Confederation of Employers' Organizations) in C/Diego de León, 50. Metro Diego de León, against unemployment, exploitation, work accidents and equipment, to denounce greed, exploitation, in justice, etc of those responsible.

Saturday 19 November

Decentralized activities in the neighbourhoods and towns to the south of Madrid. Performances in banks, on public transport, etc., where communiqués calling for protest and participation in the marches on 27 November will be read out.

Sunday 27 November

Marches against the crisis and Capital for the General Strike. The various sectors will set off as they did on 19 June and meet up at 1.00 pm at Cibeles and Atocha and at 1.30 pm in Plaza Neptuno.
