Release of victimized social fighter

The struggle of solidarity carried on thanks to the agreements and contacts of the Latin American Encounter of Autonomous Popular Organizations (ELAOPA) was a central factor in the release of our comrade Gabriel Roser of the Argentinian MUP and Fr. Popular Darío Santillán.

Full details of the matter can be found on Argentina IMC, and in particular in the La Plata section. It is with pride and sense of accomplishment that we contributed in a modest but powerful way to the release of our comrade, Gabriel Roser.

Through our social fronts, added to the efforts of our allies, we continue to promote the popular struggle for the liberation of other political prisoners in South America. At the moment, there are still 4 political prisoners in Uruguay, comrades of the MST under arrest in São Paulo, political victims in Goiânia and thousand others throughout Latin America.

Today we cry with all our strength:

• Freedom to those imprisoned for struggling!
• Our solidarity knows no borders!
• Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, piqueteros throughout Latin America!
