Tuesday August 25, 2009 18:56 by Shane interviewed by Andrew - Anarchist Media group andrewnflood at gmail dot com
An interview with Shane, a member of the Berlin anarchist media group about conditions in the city and the anarchist movement there. While on a recent visit to Berlin I interviewed Shane, a member of the Berlin anarchist media group, who was the organiser of my public meeting on 'Organised anarchism in Ireland'. The conversation covers a number of areas including the economy of the city, gentrification resistance, strikes, tortured geography, the legacy of the 80's squatting movement, the collective housing movement today, Kopi and its many bars, the place of the collective houses in the Berlin left, the drawbacks of the 'scene', organised anarchism in Berlin, the nature of the autonom groups, post apartheid South Africa, economic re-structuring, struggles around service delivery, the role on 'internationals' in the Berlin scene and anarchist publishing with the anarchist media group. |

Spring zu Komment: 1thanks for conducting this interview. it really gives a good perspective on the counter-culture/autonome vs active anarchists. so europe is not every different from some other places in the west after all.
