The Boston Anti-Authoritarian Movement, NEFAC-Boston, and the Sacco and Vanzetti Commemoration Society are proud to announce a new Anarchist Reading Group! Our first book is "Sacco and Vanzetti: The Anarchist Background," by Paul Avrich. This book explores in depth the Italian anarchist movement in and around Boston during the early 1900s, and is a must read for all Massachusetts anarchists struggling for freedom and equality today!

Our first book discussion will take place June 6th at BAAM’s Anarchist Picnic, 1pm at the Jamaica Plain Arboretum. (On the side near the Forest Hills T station, orange line. Look for the black flags in the park).

**If you want to participate in the reading group, please be there at 1pm (we discuss from 1-3pm) Please read the 1st half of the book (from page 9-104) by June 6th. It’s a fast read, but if 100 pages is too much, please start on Chapter 4, "The Anarchists." Be prepared to discuss how the anarchist movement of then relates to ours today, what strategies and tactics worked and which ones didn’t, and what lessons we can take to our current struggles.

For those who haven’t read the book (and newcomers and passersby), we will hold a separate “Introduction to Anarchism” discussion.

Bring food and ideas to share, and stick around after the reading group! At 3pm, we will have Anarchist games! Run around, get in shape and develop teamwork skills in action!
