Noel Washington, an organiser with the CFMEU, is facing prosecution and the prospect of 6 months jail for refusing to be interviewed by the Australian Building & Construction Commission (ABCC).

The ABCC is a secret industrial police force set up for the building industry by the late, unlamented Howard Government and being maintained by the ALP Government.

The ABCC is a dagger at the heart of one of the strongest unions in Australia and must be destroyed.

The Melbourne Anarchist Communist Group believes that, when union officials do the right thing, as Noel Washington is doing in this case, it is incumbent on the whole working class to defend them.

The Melbourne Anarchist Communist Group (MACG) calls on all workers and others concerned with democratic rights to attend the demonstration on Tuesday 2 December.

An injury to one is an injury to all!

In Solidarity,
