![]() Who we are? The RYN is open to the working class of the world regardless of colour, creed, gender, age, sexual orientation or place of origin. It is a place of struggle, where those involved in struggle can come and find support and co-ordination. When those in struggle do come they will find that the RYN has policies on a range of issues to guide the RYN. The issue of struggle is a first priority and comes before the issue of who can and can’t affiliate to the RYN and the conditions attached to this. The RYN is a network of different youth orgaisations with a vision of spreading its wings in the continent and internationally through education and youth development programme. The challenges faced by the youth of the world requires them to unite and critically think and share ideas that will be put in action to the best approach in terms of challenges politically, socially and economically. It is an initiative linking twenty youth organisations in Gauteng Province (Soweto, Westrand, Eastrand Pretoria and the Vaal Triangles). Who are opposed to capitalist globalisation and further exploitation of the working class youth by the elite’s agenda all over the world. We demand free quality and compulsory education: Our education curriculum must be designed to meet our socio-economic challenges of the world and technical education be included in curriculum to capacitate our youth with skills and prepare them for employment. We also demand that driver’s license must be part of the schooling curriculum. The recognition of our indigenous languages at learning institutions and that learner must be provided with free school uniforms and nutritious food.
We demand right to work: Labour brokers must be illigalised and working hours be reduced from (8)eight to(6)six without loss of pay and to create employment space . Abolishment of casualisation and fulltime well paying jobs at minimum living wage. We demand dignity for the disable: disabled must be provided with the education that meets their needs, be capacitated with skills and be given employment in the professional sector according to their ability. Public transport and buildings must be accessible to the disable people. Also demand that media must be accessibility for the disable and that government must also subsidies the daily print media for the blind.etc
We demand establishment of Ministry of Youth Affairs: we demand the abolishment of agencies such as National Youth Commission and Umsombovu Youth Fund. The institutions created for youth development have not necessarily fulfilled their mandate Issued by RYN Sello @ 083 859 1654 or Willy @ 083 590 7729 |
